A misty and dark night had everyone wrapping up well before the start, although once running, most quickly started to peel away the layers. Will Horsley and Phil Vincent (Tynedale) were the early pace setters, establishing a good margin from the start. However both Will and Phil took a wrong turn in the mist, leaving the race wide open. Garry Owens, replete with local knowledge, graciously led home Rachel Vincent (2nd overall) and Scott (senior male) of NFR. Will still managed sixth overall with Phil not far behind. About 30 runners turned out for this race which had a generous prize list.
