Duddon Fell Race on Saturday had a good turn
out from NFR. We had 4 of our senior men in the top 30 in this
Lakeland classic [bodes well for our relay teams in October].
First counter was Francis Blunt in 16th, Aengus McCullough
20th, Gary Jones 22nd, Phil Sanderson 27th, a bit further down
the field me in 65th, then fellow vets Paul Hainsworth 129th
and Joe Faulkner 132nd. It's great to see our seniors making
their mark in these big events with very competitive fields.
Great performance by Francis back racing after concentrating
on climbing, and well done to Gary and Phil making their Lakeland
classic debuts. And what with Nick, Charlie and Steve doing
well at championship races, our men's senior relay team is
shaping up well for the Hodgson and British Relay Champs.
