“This was the last race in the championship and despite not having done a long race, it seemed like a good excuse to burn some turkey off. The travelling purple people were Geoff and Susan, Gary Mason, Dave Beech and Nina Cameron.
The traditional three lap course was being used and it was very clarty in places. Three times up the quarry bank made it a good leg tester. Dave Beech finished second behind a very fast U21 lad, i was back next mid field , followed by Geoff and then Gary. Nina was first home for NFR followed by Susan.
Geoff was recovering from a calf injury and Nina a bad back, so it was good for them to be back competing.
The rest of the winter series has been trimmed back to the excellent Glaisdale rigg (21 feb), Blakey Blitz (20 march) and Guis moors race (17 april). The Blakey race is an AM and well worth the travel down.
