had a crack at this little gem:
"8 miles 2800 ft - The race started in Ambleside and made its way up first on track then onto soggy fell side, then a rocky climb to the summit of Loughrigg. It then headed off to Silverhow for a tougher ascent to the summit, before heading back the same way. (It was quite a sight seeing Nick Fish and Nick Sharp in full flight!) For the record I finished in 10th position out of about 60 runners and was pleased to be catching the more experienced Ambleside lads in front on the final descent." - Gary Jones a few photos Pat took of this race from last year |
